Match Day Food Bank collection

Mar 5, 2024

Peterhead FC Community Foundation is making an urgent appeal to supporters to help support the Foodbank Centre in Peterhead by bringing some non-perishable groceries and toiletries to our home match on Saturday 30th March against Clyde at Balmoor Stadium, drop off point for items will be the undercover area at the entrance to our club office.

With the rising cost of living, the food bank has been in greater demand and stocks lower as fewer people have been able to donate so any items you can bring to the game would help this vital organisation help where it is most needed.

There will also be a bucket cash collection for those who would prefer to donate financially rather than bring items and for anyone not attending the match who would like to contribute, please use the donate section on www.pfccf.co.uk to support our life-changing charitable and community work.

The food bank welcomes all kinds of non-perishable food items but would be particularly pleased to receive donations of the following:

  • Nappies (Various sizes) and Baby wipes
  • Toilet roll
  • Toiletries – shower gels, shaving cream, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, razors.
  • Family cereals
  • Cooking oil
  • Packets of noodles
  • Tinned meats like hotdogs, stew etc
  • Tinned food like spaghetti, beans, soup, Rice Pudding /Custard
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tea / Coffee
  • Sugar
  • Pasta
  • Cooking sauces and Pasta sauces
  • Rice
  • Lentils

Our families and young children will be so grateful for the donations, help and support given. These items will go to those most in need from all walks of life in and around the community.”

Gavin Mundie, Chairperson of the Peterhead FC Community Foundation added,

“We know how generous our supporters are and while we know that this is a tough time for many, even a few groceries or a small donation will really help local people who are in need, so we very much appreciate any support that anyone can give.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with us by e-mailing info@pfccf.co.uk.

Thank you for your support!”
