Buchan Offshore Wind supports Peterhead FC Community Foundation (PFCCF) Community Coaches.

We are delighted to announce our new community coach partnership with Bucan Offshore Wind, hear from them on this exciting new development :

Buchan Offshore Wind, the developer of a floating offshore wind farm located 75 km offshore from the Aberdeenshire Coast, are delighted to partner with Peterhead FC Community Foundation.

As a responsible project developer, engaging with local communities is a priority for Buchan Offshore Wind. The company will directly support the brilliant work of the Peterhead FC Community Foundation within Peterhead and across wider Aberdeenshire as a community coaches partner, helping to deliver high quality programmes supporting education, fitness, and well-being.

About Our New Partners:

Buchan Offshore Wind is the developer of a floating offshore wind farm located 75 km northeast of Fraserburgh on the Aberdeenshire Coast with a capacity of around 1 GW. The project is currently at Development stage and has received its Offshore Scoping Opinion from the Scottish Government. An Onshore Scoping Opinion will be sought in the near future.

The partners are BayWa r.e., a global renewable energy business with UK offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh; Elicio, an experienced Belgian offshore wind developer, owner and operator; and BW Ideol, a proven floating technology leader and international floating wind project co-developer.

The consortium brings together three companies with highly significant, relevant and complementary expertise, which has the potential to accelerate the development of floating wind and bring significant levels of employment to Scotland through its commitment to local manufacturing of the wind turbines’ concrete foundations.
