Partnership with Men United

Jul 9, 2024

We are delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with local men’s mental health charity Men United who will provide bespoke mental health assistance to us to develop new initiatives for our community to engage with as many people in the local area in need of mental health support.

Poor mental health can have terminal consequences. The suicide statistics amongst men are tragic, ever growing and desperately need reversing. Peterhead FC Community Foundation with the support of Men United want to play our part in challenging the stigma that surrounds men’s mental health and prevent the devastating consequences of poor emotional and mental health.

Through other PFCCF programmes such as Football Fans in Training, we have seen the impact that inspired, determined people can have to make changes in their life for the better.

Proactive mental health and wellbeing care is an act of self-care in this day and age, and it is our joint aim to give people the opportunity to speak in more depth about their mental wellbeing and to come together in a safe place and in friendship to explore areas which are giving them particular challenges or concerns.
