Peterhead FC Community Foundation in conjunction with the SPFL Trust and Peterhead FC are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a ‘Festive Friends’ Christmas lunch at Balmoor Stadium on the 10th of December 2024.
We are also delighted to confirm that our Partner School, Buchanhaven Primary School Choir will sing Christmas carols before the meal which has always been a highlight of the lunch.
Festive Friends is a project created and funded by the SPFL Trust which is a wonderful community event that brings Christmas cheer and companionship to elderly people who are socially isolated and at risk of being alone during the festive season.
It’s been a tough few years for everyone due to Covid-19 and the cost-of-living crisis and especially difficult for the elderly who are at higher risk of social isolation. Festive Friends is about more than just hosting a lunch or sending out hampers; it is about showing our community compassion, patience and kindness.
For those that are in need but cannot attend the lunch we are again distributing Christmas Hampers for those in our local community.
The Peterhead Community spirt is already evident with support from local companies Strachans, LJF Coatings Ltd and our friends at Stella’s Voice, to ensure that the hampers are full of nutritious treats and delights.
Also, we are grateful for the support from the Peterhead Community Fire Station, Peterhead Boys Club and The North East Tartan Army who will help pack and deliver the hampers with the volunteers from Peterhead FC Community Foundation. The hampers will be delivered on Thursday 12h December between 10am and 3pm, please ensure any nominated person will be in during those times.

All nominations for the lunch or a hamper must be made by Tuesday 26th of November. Spaces are limited and will be offered to those eligible on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be aware that we may not be able to support all applications.
