We are delighted to announce Danny Strachan as our new Community Services Delivery Manager.
Danny has been working with the Foundation since last year and has already made a significant impact on the Foundation’s Partner School Program.
Danny needs no introduction to the fans of Peterhead FC but his role in supporting the pupils of Buchanhaven Primary School is perhaps less well known; the delivery of our Partner Schools program which provides an inclusive, fulfilling, and engaging experience emphasising participation, hands-on activities and inclusion to engage children who are suffering from poor attainment and attendance.
As the community coach team expands, Danny is training and mentoring our new coaches and is available to support more local schools in the delivery of the Foundation Partner schools program to provide the same positive impact as demonstrated at Buchanhaven Primary School.
Upon his appointment, Danny said “The Foundation is ambitious to grow its impact in the community and I am looking forward to the future and working together with the community and local businesses to achieve that positive impact.
I am keen to develop the team of community coaches and work with new Partners Schools as that program expands. Everyone is working together and there is a real positive community feeling with new Health and Wellbeing programs being launched, it is an exciting time for the community department.”
The Peterhead FC Community Foundation would like to acknowledge the support of Firstport, Buchan Offshore Wind, the Social Entrepreneurs Fund and the Scottish Government for their contributions and guidance that enabled the employment of the Community Services Delivery Manager.
