Mental Health Awareness Week

May 13, 2025

We’re celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week!

This year’s theme is community, and at Peterhead FC Community Foundation we understand the importance of community, purpose and open conversations about mental health

Together, as a community, we can break down stigma, open up conversations and encourage anyone struggling with their mental health to access the support they need.

This week, we want to celebrate our partnerships with fantastic local organisations like Men United and Shirleys Space, and SAMH, their vital work supports people experiencing mental health problems.

Mental health affects an estimated one in three people in Scotland with research indicating that’s there is direct correlation between poverty, social exclusion, and poor mental health.

It’s so important to look after ourselves and others around us, whether that’s friends and family or work colleagues. If you or someone you know is going through a difficult patch or are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or lonely, support is available.

Mind to Mind (nhsinform.scot/mindtomind) is a dedicated NHS Inform resource that can help people with practical advice on how to deal with life’s ups and downs and has signposts where people can access further support.
