March Football Memories

March Football Memories

There was a great turnout at the last Peterhead FC Community Foundation Football Memories group with 35 people enjoying a very interesting and amusing presentation from the ‘King of the beach end’ Joe Harper. Joe took the eager audience through his eventful and successful career from Morton to Aberdeen and thereafter to Everton and Hibs. Joe brought along his Scotland caps and his special medal for scoring 5 goals in one friendly game for Scotland in Canada. A big thank you to Joe and also to Kelly from ‘Boogie in the Bar’ for providing the sandwiches and biscuits on the day.

Keep an eye on our website and socials for details of the next meet-up

Football Memories 5th February

Football Memories 5th February

Our next Football Memories group will be held on Thursday 5th February with Guest Speaker Dennis D’Arcy.
Born in Aberdeen, Dennis began his career in junior football with Banks O’ Dee before turning professional in 1970 with Montrose. The central defender later played for Arbroath and Deveronvale before returning to Montrose.
Dennis took over the helm as player manager of Peterhead FC for the 1980-81 season. He won the League Cup with the Bloo Toon under the watchful eye of Chairman Robbie Warrender. Always lots of stories to be told when Robbie is involved! We look forward to welcoming Dennis to Balmoor in February.
Everyone welcome to come along – we’ll see you there!
