HEALTH, WELLBEING & INCLUSION

.

Our mission is to play a positive role in our community to create a sustainable positive change in the community’s health and wellbeing by providing programs and events that inspire, include, educate, and empower individuals to live active, healthy, positive lives in an inclusive community.

To understand the communities’ priorities, we will work in partnership working with service providers, charities, and stakeholders to proportionately plan and execute ways to tackle and deliver on outcomes we want to see achieved.

The cost-of-living crisis has highlighted is that a priority is to target poverty in our community by supporting and providing as low cost as possible services and providing a community kitchen for the most in need with the support of Aberdeenshire Council and other agencies.

Exercise can have a positive effect on your health, but being socially active can be just as important too. Feedback on our existing programmes has highlighted the benefits of meeting in a group and developing an increased sense of feeling part of our community.

We will partner with service providers and local charities to promote mental health support through signposting to improve awareness and coping strategies for mental health.

Our catto park facility development project has as a key aim to improve sustainable travel options to the facilities through walking, cycling & local transport.

With the knowledge and skillset of our team, combined with the facilities and programs we deliver, we aim to provide a safe, engaging, and comfortable place, where individuals feel included and progress their journey to a healthier lifestyle.

What Objectives Do We Want to Achieve?

  • Promotion of Health and wellbeing awareness programs to engage and encourage the community to make lifestyle changes to reduce the strain on local health and social services.
  • Targeting poverty in our community by supporting and providing as low cost as possible services for the most in need to reduce the impact of socio-economic factors on health and wellbeing.
  • Promote Health eating as a basis of a healthy diet for all ages and reduce preventable health-based issues based on poor life choices.
  • Promote mental health support through signposting to our service delivery partners to improve awareness and coping strategies for mental health, aligned with the Mental Health Charter.
  • Develop the equality and diversity of PFCCF services for everyone regardless of age, class, ethnicity, physical or mental impairment or ability.
